Training Process

5-2 Ministries has developed a training process for volunteers, leaders, and staff. This training helps equip individuals from the basics of the Bible to helpful techniques in supporting individuals through addictions and trauma. Please contact us if you are interested in being equipped, wether that be as a volunteer, intern, or future staff!

Volunteers

The first level of involvement at 5-2 ministries is to become a volunteer. Volunteers are not required to receive training. However, consistent volunteer roles will require background information. Volunteer opportunities are but not limited to the following:

1. Hospitality (food, greeting, etc)

2. Set up Tear Down

3. Youth Sports

Volunteer Leaders

Volunteer leaders will be required to complete the first level of the 5-2 Ministries process. Volunteer leaders will be asked to oversee volunteers as well as specific areas of ministry and service.

Our volunteers are trained in the basics of the Bible, trauma, and discipleship.

Shepherd Leader

Shepherd leaders are required to complete the first three levels of the 5-2 Ministries Process. After completing the volunteer training, leaders can take the next step with Shepherding Training. This role is specifically focused on long-term discipleship and life skill development for those suffering from addictions, trauma, and mental illness. Shepherd leaders are a part-time or full-time position.

Our Shepherd are trained in expository teaching/study of the Bible, an in depth look at trauma and addictions, as well as life skill integration tools for individuals healing from trauma.

Evangelist Leader

Our final step of leadership courses are tailored to Evangelists. These leaders drive the vision of 5-2 Ministries, partake in crisis intervention, lead our teaching ministries, and oversee our discipleship classes.

Our Evangelists are trained in crisis intervention, integrating modern counseling and psychotherapy with the Scripture, and are trained at a mastery level in studying and teaching the Scripture.

Elective Classes

In addition to our required courses for training we offer elective courses on topics like church history, spiritual gifts, world missions, and Church ministry.

What is a 5-2 Certification?

A 5-2 Certification validates that you have completed our ministry training. This certificate details the courses you took, logged ministry hours you completed, and references that testify of your witness as a minister of the Gospel. We hope to send out missionaries throughout our country and around the world to aid those experiencing trauma, addiction, and mental health.
